Transforming IRS Case Management: Sky Solutions’ Success with Pega Integration

Overview

Sky Solutions is a key Pega technical implementer for the IRS Enterprise Case Management (ECM) program. Our role involves developing solutions using the SAFe agile methodology and implementing best practices related to Pegasystems. We provide comprehensive support, including product guidance, requirement definition and review, and Pega product functional leadership.

Goal

The primary goal of the ECM Solution Integration Services (SIS) project is to streamline and modernize the IRS’s case management processes. By leveraging Pega’s capabilities, Sky Solutions aims to enhance operational efficiency, improve data accuracy, and ensure compliance with federal standards.

Challenge

Before the implementation of the ECM SIS project, the IRS faced significant challenges with its legacy case management systems. These systems were fragmented, redundant, and costly to maintain, leading to inefficiencies and data inconsistencies. The IRS needed a modern, integrated solution to manage cases effectively across its various lines of business.

Solution

Sky Solutions addressed these challenges by:

  • Developing applications using the SAFe agile methodology to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Clarifying requirements in real time to ensure an inclusive design before implementation began.
  • Implementing best practices for Pegasystems to optimize performance and functionality.
  • Implementing best practices for Pegasystems to optimize performance and functionality.
  • Providing product guidance to align the solution with the IRS’s strategic goals.
  • Defining and reviewing requirements to ensure the solution meets all necessary standards.
  • Offering Pega product functional leadership to drive the project’s success.
  • Leveraging automation to identify and remedy data inconsistencies to remove end user intervention.
